Kabak Bay

Kabak Bay, the neighbor of Butterfly Valley, is the favorite of those who escaped from the city with its 200-meter beach, clear sea, generous nature and calm air.
Kabak Bay is not a typical holiday destination, there are no hotels, motels, elegant restaurants and facilities. There are camping areas, bungalows, tree houses. There is nature, scenery and a clean sea. Therefore, being in Kabak Bay gives a different peace of mind.
Kabak is one of the stops on the historical Lycian road of 500 km stretching from Fethiye to Antalya. Don't be fooled by what we call a path, it's actually a trail and one of the top 10 long-distance hiking routes in the world. Kabak Bay is at the bottom of this historical road, adjacent to Butterfly Valley. This special geography is 4 km from Butterfly Valley and 17 km from Oludeniz. It is possible to arrive by road, but parking is usually a problem in the summer season. Instead, you can take the Oludeniz - Faralya minibusses, and you can reach the bay without getting tired by taking the minibusses from Faralya to Kabak Bay.

There is also another more comfortable route than this route. It is to come to the bay by yacht. For this, you can look at the yachts on yachtkiralama.com, enjoy the unique view without mixing with the crowd of sheep and swim in the blue waters.

What to do in Kabak Bay

Kabak Bay is very suitable for camping. This bay, which was not known until 1987 and was completely untouched, is unique with its location surrounded by high rocky and forested mountains, wildlife and endemic plant diversity. There are tree houses, bungalows, activity areas for meditation and yoga in the bay with many camping areas. There is water and electricity for the tents in the camping areas, and you can also have breakfast and dinner in the camping area. In short, if you want to set up a tent, you can continue your holiday in average comfort, not in poverty. There are also small cafes and restaurants in the area. You can enjoy relaxing in an isolated bay away from the crowded air of the city while sipping your coffee.

How is the sea in Kabak Bay?

Some of the 200 m beach in Kabak Bay consists of thick sand and some of it consists of pebbles. But the lack of fine sand gives the sea a magnificent turquoise clarity. If you are not very sensitive to pebbles or if you have beach shoes, swimming in this sea, snorkeling, coming by yacht and jumping into the turquoise waters of the bay is a great feeling. There are no sunbeds on the beach (for now) but there are umbrellas and showers.

Hammock, nature and sea trio

Nature springs from under every stone in Kabak Bay. Squirrels are crawling in the trees. Enjoying a hammock is very popular in this bay. You can also set up your hammock under a shaded tree and take a nap with the sound of cicadas and the chirping of birds. We are sure that you will have the most relaxing naps of your life.

Kabak Cave

There is also a cave in the bay that opens to the sea. In order to enter the cave in the form of a natural pool, you have to dive into the sea and swim from the bottom to enter the cave. Due to the sunlight coming from outside and the blue of the sea, the inside of the cave is covered with a blue light. These lights intensify especially after 5 pm. That's why the cave is sometimes called the Blue Cave. Attention! It will be good for safety to have flippers on your feet and someone who can swim well in case you do not have enough breath when you dive to enter the cave. We recommend that you try it alone.
