Ayten Bay

The wonderful pleasure of swimming under the pine trees next to Göcek. No beach clubs, no hotels, no entrance fees. Ayten Bay is for those who miss a holiday just like in the old days...
Ayten Bay is a bay that you can reach from Göcek even on foot. It has a small coastline covered with dense pine trees. It is astonishing that Ayten Bay is so beautiful and so close to the settlement center and still has not been plundered.
Ayten Bay
It doesn't matter if it's land or sea, when you proceed from Göcek to the Kapıdağ Peninsula, you will see a large bay. The part of this large bay close to Göcek is called Poruklu Bay (some call it Porsuklu Bay), and the other side is called Ayten Bay.

The Göcek side of Poruklu Bay belongs to Club Prive by Rixos, and the middle part belongs to Marintürk Marina. Rixos has an exquisite white sand beach overlooking the marina. Since this beach is almost intertwined with the marina, we think that maximum care has been taken to keep the sea clean.

Therefore, when you come to Ayten Bay, which is on the other side of the marina, do not say whether you can swim near the marina, you can swim very well, and we must admit that those yachts look very pleasing to the eye. (Most of us remember the boy who tearfully described his love of boats as "you can't understand" on social media. Ours is such a thing:)

Where the sea and the forest are intertwined
Ayten Bay, which you come across after passing the marina, is a bay that is completely left to its own naturalness, unlike Poruklu. There is a camping-accommodation area overlooking the sea under the pine trees.

The trees are so dense that when you look up at the sky, you can't see the sun. However, the seashore sees the sun from the first hours of the morning. The dance of light and shadows among the trees fascinates people.

Waking up next to the sea
The extraordinary thing in Ayten Bay is that you can come to the bottom of the sea with your car or caravan.

If you have been able to set up your tent by the sea or park your caravan next to the sea, the first red rays of the sun in the morning, the chirping of birds and the sound of the sea wake you up.

Don't look at what we call the sound of the sea, there are no such waves, we are just talking about the sound of the water on the sand and pebbles.

100% nature
There are no services such as WC, shower, cabin, fountain in Ayten Bay. This is good in a sense, since it is already a small bay, it can be too crowded from time to time. If there is also a shower, WC, etc., it can be much more crowded.

For food and beverage needs on the beach, there is a supermarket about 5 minutes away.

An inviting sea
Ayten Bay overlooks the exquisite nature of Göcek Bay. You can easily see the green hills and indented shores on the opposite shore.

The sea, on the other hand, is very inviting; calm and azure. Do not expect a large beach with fine sand, you can enter the sea from the sandy and stony area next to the trees. It's good to have your sea shoes with you.

Especially in the afternoon, the shade of the trees falls into the sea, so children can play by the water for hours without the danger of the sun.

The first choice of those who rent a yacht in Göcek
Due to its proximity to Göcek, you can see many motor yachts, gulets, catamarans and even sailboats anchored on the shores in Ayten Bay, apart from the marina.

Especially since they have little time, holidaymakers who rent an hourly yacht from Göcek prefer Ayten Bay. By anchoring in Ayten Bay, they save on the time and fuel costs they will spend on the road. Wisely!

Moreover, they can find many services such as shower, WC, food and beverage that are not available on land in the comfort of a yacht.

Beware of those who will stay on land at night!
Do not leave food or rubbish outside your vehicle or tent. It is said that at night, wild boars come to this smell of food and garbage. They will probably run away at the sight of a human, but no one wants to encounter a wild boar in the middle of the night.

A warning is also for mosquitoes. Be sure to have your fly repellent spray with you.

How to get to Ayten Bay?

Ayten Bay is not one of the bays where it is obligatory to charter a yacht, it is also possible to reach it by land.

It is 3 km from the center of Göcek by road, 18 km from Dalaman Airport and 35 km from Fethiye.

The highway from Göcek to the marina is beautiful, but after passing the marina entrance, it turns into a dirt road.

Don't worry, this road is very short, when you see the pine trees on the seashore at the first turn, you will understand that you have come to Ayten Bay.

From the sea, it is either 2 km (1.25 mi) or not.

You can charter a catamaran from Göcek and go to Ayten Bay comfortably.
